Thx for your thought mate, I also have similar feeling when I was in the OFFF, workshops and masterclasses kinda helps with meeting new people a bit naturally, but overall I agree that the festival can create a better environment for interaction with a new people.
Very accurate account about the OFFF experience. It's kinda sad to hear it's still like this because I felt the same thing when I visited it for the first time in 2015, back then I was also alone and being an introvert, it was very awkward to try to interact with anyone. Later years, when I visited it with a group of colleagues, it was much more enjoyable, but the talks can get very dry quickly, and I have fallen asleep during them several times. There's a huge opportunity for those who want to create small-scale events to engage with the community, but getting the word out and interest from others will always be a challenge, but worth a shot, either at OFFF or in your local area. Thanks for sharing and discussing this topic. OFFF is very overhyped at this point, and the experience on the ground doesn't often live up to the promises being made, so, as always, it's up to individuals to make it worthwhile.
I agree on that opportunity, and as soon as you try tt let know whoever you know close to you, that at least is somehow related or interest with the topic, there might be already 3 or 4, and that’s already a gathering. Of course it takes some effort but yeah, as you also said, it’s a good way to start having some type of space of interaction.

Yeah, there are some things around, some side events, but hardly 1% of the people can attend due to the size of it.

Nice to meet you Esteban. Thanks for sharing this. I went to OFFF this year, and I also recently joined Pau — haha. Are you still working there?
Hah nice! What a coincidence.
I go to Pau every now and then to visit the friends over there 😊
hope to see you there then :)
